[Chase/Foreman AU]

Chase knew that Foreman needed help with the Vicodin and that it would probably be time for another go -- seeing as he was getting accustomed to Vicodin cycles, what with House around -- and headed for the back room, checking to see if Foreman was still dozing.

He lingered in the doorway, just watching him. He seemed just so peaceful and he wondered how much had happened between them, how much Foreman knew about Chase that he didn't even know about himself.

Eventually, he cleared his throat quietly. "Foreman?"

Foreman was taken aback.

"That was flirting? What did you say? I didn't even catch it," he confessed.

Foreman was pretty dumbfounded.

"I just thought you were being friendly. What is it you like anyway? If you don't mind, that is. Never had a guy come straight out and admit he liked me before."

That was good enough for Foreman.

"You ever think about acting on it? Admitting it to me?"

Foreman let out a quick sigh (though he'd never admit it was one) and rolled over.

"Pity. I'd have said yes. Not like I've never been curious."

Foreman shrugged as best he could lying down.

"You're a good looking guy, I'm a good looking guy, I've never been with a guy...willing to try everything once, see if I like it. Logically, it's stupid to turn down pleasure. It's just an unknown, not something bad."

"Sex, Chase." he said bluntly. "Don't go all altar boy about it."

"You should have just asked, Chase. Still could, if I didn't have a head wound. I wouldn't want to fuck the brain damaged either."

Foreman laughed a little, amused at his joke.

"And then you're going to let me be your rebound boyfriend," Foreman teased, folding his hands over his stomach and looking at Chase to see how long it would take to make him blush.

"Yeah? You wanna nurse me back to health with your healing touch then? Like I said, I'm interested. It could work out, you know. We're equals. Good thing to be in a relationship."

Foreman rubbed his throat, trying to clear it. God, it was dry.

Foreman gave him a look.

"You don't want to...you're freaked out. What, like them better when they play hard to get?"

[identity profile] the-neurologist.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"How's that work anyway? I never figured you for one to go for the long-term."

Foreman eventually wanted to look into settling down with someone, but not at the moment.

"Are you leaving?"

Foreman wasn't really tired yet, but if Chase wanted an out he guess he could go for another nap.

Foreman slid the pillow beneath his head, cursing loudly when the bandage started pulling.

"Fuck. Anyway, what do you want to know? Kayla?"
