Chase was waking up slowly after a nap, yawning loudly, the sound trailing off with a soft squeak. She burrowed into the source of warmth right by her, arms wrapped around someone's waist and lips pressed to a very firm pair of breasts. With a smile, she realized quickly just where she was and who she was with.

"Eric," she mumbled sleepily. "Wake up."

Chase knew that Foreman needed help with the Vicodin and that it would probably be time for another go -- seeing as he was getting accustomed to Vicodin cycles, what with House around -- and headed for the back room, checking to see if Foreman was still dozing.

He lingered in the doorway, just watching him. He seemed just so peaceful and he wondered how much had happened between them, how much Foreman knew about Chase that he didn't even know about himself.

Eventually, he cleared his throat quietly. "Foreman?"

He was on vacation, technically. It was supposed to be good for him, after all. He'd go to California and enjoy the beach, enjoy the Pacific Ocean. Jay had even encouraged it, said it would be like getting back to the island. And sure, it was technically a conference, but he had time off. And currently, he was jogging along something called 'Dog Beach' in some place called Neptune. And maybe tomorrow, he'd hop over to Pluto for drinks.

He was sweating, the sun sinking down into the ocean and he checked his watch, wondering if he should get back. Probably a good idea, but he still had to get that last mile to his car. He wiped the sweat from his brow and wiped it off on his shorts, continuing along and picking up the pace, panting as he did.

With the camera safely tucked away, Chase smiled to herself and tucked it neatly under the bed in the small medical quarters she lived in. No one else was around, still probably freaking about the switched genders, but she was sated and pleased in a way that Chase hadn't been in far too long. She'd changed into a pair of boxers from before and a tank top that she'd found downstairs -- too warm to cover up too much.

Burrowing into the covers, Chase rested her head down on the pillow, smiling to herself as she thought about the contents of the tape and the doings in the Hummer just the other day. She couldn't help it. Great sex was great sex and Chase always felt better after a good go of it.

She shifted, facing away from the door and the wall as she closed her eyes, hoping for a good row of dreams that evening.

Chase had managed to find a very interesting thing in the compound and she'd grinned, slipping into the red dress she'd found with the push-up bra and began searching for Johnny, the surprise in her hands and hidden behind her back. The dress was short, only went to her thighs, and her hair fell down in waves around her face.

Except. Where oh where could Johnny be?

She licked her lips, still searching, ready to head for the beach and his Hummer.

Chase was...a girl. Well, to be perfectly fair, she was a woman. And peering down at herself, she had a pretty decent rack. She'd set out after picking up some sandals and headed for the beach, not out of any real reason but a desire to do so. She exhaled slowly, biting her lip. It felt almost freeing, just wandering.

As she approached the beach, she caught sight of Johnny out of the corner of her eye and immediately turned slightly pink. Johnny was shirtless and that meant one thing and one thing only; her mind led to sexual thoughts.

Her feet seemed intent on taking her there too and she went with it. Not like she had anywhere else to be.

Chase was drunk.

There was no bar on the island, but there was Jay's provisions and he was in his private room and he had the two days off and he was, quite frankly, drunk and thinking about the way House's fingers were calloused and the shape of his lips and the way his eyes bore into him without even trying and he was so flying high and drunk it wasn't funny.

He had to think about something else. Anything else.

Chase fidgeted with the gloves and prayed that these didn't used to be prom dress gloves. He scowled a little at the thought.

He was sitting down on the grass in a casual pair of jeans and shirt, just peering up to the sky and lazing about as he watched Jay fly back and forth, an inky dot in the stratosphere to keep track of. He fidgeted with his gloves every few moments, scowling and prying one off. His hand wasn't glowing, where the hell was the issue?

He flexed his fingers. "Don't need gloves," he sneered slightly to himself.

Chase paced backed and forth, his hands shoved into the pocket of his green track-suit jacket. He kept bringing his gaze back to Jay, exhaling nervously. "Are you sure about this?" he asked, voice thin and wary. It was Jay's family. God, what would they even think of him? He exhaled again slowly, digging his hands a little deeper and he begged that his nerves wouldn't act up on him. He scoffed lightly. "I mean, honestly, what are they going to think of me?" And really, he just wanted Jay's family to like him.

He paced outside the gate. "Okay, nervous," he muttered. "Nervous and twitchy."

Chase sighed, rubbing his hands on his labcoat as he tried to warm himself. He'd done it again, let himself get distracted and suddenly, there it was, his hands glowing like he had little fireflies all scattered. The next thing he knew, the patient was healed, he had an odd tic for the rest of the day and he was being sent home. House had sent him to work on the ER, said something about schizophrenia from the workload. He sat in one of the chairs, hoping that his odd mutation would stop for once.

It had been after the island that he'd noticed. He'd gone back to work and actually worked hard at his job. Suddenly, he could heal in the blink of an eye and he was absorbing the slightest of things from the patient; emotions, opinions, an accent, an odd behaviour.

It was, to say the least, weird.

More than once, he'd tried to find Jay, but it was hard. It was harder with his newfound 'talent' too, because it made him a precious commodity at the hospital and Cuddy refused to let him leave.

Chase awoke, the comfort of the labcoat as his pillow minimal at best. They'd been camped out on the beach the night before and the sun was barely peeking over the horizon to bring in a new day. He groaned and rubbed at his eyes, turning over and intending to comment to Jay about wanting to take a dip in the hot springs, but when he turned...

"Jay?" he mumbled aloud, voice hoarse with sleep. "Jay!" he called out a bit louder. Maybe he'd wandered off. Oh, shit, maybe he'd wandered off. He had a horrible habit of sleep-walking and the last time that happened.

Chase stumbled to his feet, yanking on his t-shirt and slipping into his lab coat, wandering into the forest to search familiar tracks and paths, calling out Jay's name quietly every time he got fifty more feet into the woods. He kept quiet, just in case.

Since the sale of the house in Melbourne -- and that almost made Chase feel good, that kind of monetary safety net -- boxes had been showing up at his place. He navigated them easily and always made sure they were never in Wilson's way when he came over. The last box had arrived finally and Chase peered inside, eyes widening as he shut the box.

It was that box. His teen years. There were the yearbooks, the medals and trophies, and the...the pictures. He groaned and picked up the box, taking it up to his bedroom. He'd take it up to the attic later. No one needed to have that kind of blackmail against him.

Chase had been down the halls of the strange compound with the Bible tucked away in his back pocket and he was searching for something else. Something to do to get his mind off the place and it was just no help. He sighed and turned back, then took another corner. He was getting nowhere. And then, he sighted Wilson sitting on the ground with a jacket in his hands.

He slowly approached. "Wilson?" he asked quietly. "Hey."
dr_robchase: (Default)
Too many epiphanies, too many things he found. He'd tucked the Bible back onto the shelf, slipping the accompanying rosary into his jeans and folding the picture into his pocket as well, closing his eyes. It couldn't be real, but it was, the things they found. Anna...no, whatever...whoever she was. It was all too much, but there was something more important. Beds.

He'd been gone for days and he needed to get back. Chase searched the caves first to see if Wilson or House were there, but he couldn't find either and he wondered if anything had happened. He jogged through the jungle and made his way to the beach, calling out Wilson's name as the sand came closer and closer into sight. "Wilson?" he shouted when he saw a familiar figure.
dr_robchase: (Default)
Even if the caves were nice, even if the jungle offered protection, Chase always found himself wandering back to the beach and the water. It was like a call to him and the water sparkled in the sunlight, was almost deceiving. It was so beautiful, but he knew that there were probably dangerous things there. It was worth the risk. He made his way into the warm sand, prying off his shoes again and feeling each grain between his toes.

And he saw a familiar face just standing by the water.

"You know," he called over. "Just looking at the water isn't going to do you much good!" Chase pointed out.

Chase frowned slightly when his pager went off, but House was standing right in front of him. That didn't happen much. He glanced at the message and his brow furrowed a little more when he saw that it was from Anna and that she had to pick up a shift. He'd been eager too. Finally, they were getting off work early and he was going to have some time off. Work was work, though. He shrugged as casually as he could and looked up to hear the rest of House's little speech about how he wasn't doing his job right that day.

"Who was that?" House demanded immediately.

Chase shrugged, eyes turning to Foreman and Cameron. "Just Anna. She's working late."

House's lips curled up in a smirk. "At her work? At her stripper work?" Chase suppressed his scowl as House hitched up his cane and immediately reached for his phone, calling Wilson over with a brief, 'need you here. now.' That smirk was then turned up to Chase. "We're going to pay your girlfriend a bit of a visit. Foreman, you in? Cameron? Oh, come on, remember. Adventurous!"

Cameron just glared witheringly. "You're disgusting," she muttered half-heartedly.

"Believe it or not," Foreman scoffed, "I have better things to do in my time than ogle Chase's girlfriend."

Chase gave House a self-satisfied smirk, pleased that at least the minimal amount of people would be subjected to House's madness. Soon enough though, Foreman and Cameron were gone and Wilson had arrived. "What's up, you called?"

"Field trip," House announced, pushing Chase out the door with the car. "Junior's driving." Chase sighed slowly, but he went along with it, letting them bicker and tease in the car ride over and pulling up, heading inside and glancing over his shoulder to House to find him revelling in the atmosphere, as though he belonged there. "I'm home," House remarked with a chuckle. "Okay, where's your keeper?"
