[Chase/Foreman AU]

Chase knew that Foreman needed help with the Vicodin and that it would probably be time for another go -- seeing as he was getting accustomed to Vicodin cycles, what with House around -- and headed for the back room, checking to see if Foreman was still dozing.

He lingered in the doorway, just watching him. He seemed just so peaceful and he wondered how much had happened between them, how much Foreman knew about Chase that he didn't even know about himself.

Eventually, he cleared his throat quietly. "Foreman?"

"Watch the head," Foreman whispered, sliding his mouth down and kissing at the corner of Chase's mouth before returning to his mouth and kissing harder, deeper.

Foreman broke the kiss and slid his hands down Chase's back, resting them just above his hips. He'd always found himself looking at Chase's back--Chase had a bad habit of wearing shirts that were too small and pulled across a decidedly-broad set of shoulders. He must have bought them to fit his waist, he mused, for it was narrow.

"Better than expected, Chase."

Foreman slid a hand down lower, pressing their hips closer together as he slid the other one back into his hair.

"Bet you got that from all your teachers too, 'Exceeds Expectations."

Foreman groaned.

"Are you trying to get me off over here or are you just going to tease?"

That probably wasn't the best word choice. He decided to amend it.

"Kidding, man. Just...fuck. This is hot."

"Yeah, I know. I need to get better."

He gave Chase a smile and ruffled the still-perfect hair. It was annoying really, how perfect his hair was.

"You slept with Cameron. Big mistake, like I told you when I first got there. You didn't listen."

Foreman smiled sadly. He and Cameron weren't even friends now, really.

Foreman shook his head and managed to tear a corner of the bandage, bringing tears to his eyes.

"Shit...Chase, you'd better look at that."

Chase's fingers were good with bandaging: quick and deft. It was no wonder he was an intensivist.

"Thanks, Robert."

"You've had your tongue in my mouth," he said succinctly, as if that explained everything.

"Rob," he echoed, by way of agreement. "What are you calling me?"

"I probably need to go to bed, Rob." He said it softly, not implying or denying anything.

"Night, Rob. Thanks, for everything."

That was kind of a lame way to say goodnight to the guy you just made out with, but it was all he could manage.
