[Chase/Foreman AU]

Chase knew that Foreman needed help with the Vicodin and that it would probably be time for another go -- seeing as he was getting accustomed to Vicodin cycles, what with House around -- and headed for the back room, checking to see if Foreman was still dozing.

He lingered in the doorway, just watching him. He seemed just so peaceful and he wondered how much had happened between them, how much Foreman knew about Chase that he didn't even know about himself.

Eventually, he cleared his throat quietly. "Foreman?"

Foreman gave him a look.

"You don't want to...you're freaked out. What, like them better when they play hard to get?"

"How's that work anyway? I never figured you for one to go for the long-term."

Foreman eventually wanted to look into settling down with someone, but not at the moment.

"Are you leaving?"

Foreman wasn't really tired yet, but if Chase wanted an out he guess he could go for another nap.

Foreman slid the pillow beneath his head, cursing loudly when the bandage started pulling.

"Fuck. Anyway, what do you want to know? Kayla?"

Foreman licked his lips.

"I was boss for three weeks. Drove House up the wall."

"Stalked around miserable, really. Made my life hell. I caught up on paperwork though. Cuddy loved that."

Foreman laughed.

"We had a case. Bipolar guy, hit his head, started spouting gibberish? You and me totally pulled the wool over Cuddy's eyes. I told her we were having dinner together. Reservations just for two. We were going to the guy's house."

Foreman gave Chase an annoyed look and sat up.

"Just...you can kiss me without breaking the Hippocratic Oath. We're colleagues."

Okay, yeah, kissing Chase was better than he thought it would be. He slid a hand into his hair, rubbing his fingers into his scalp as he kissed.

Chase had really soft lips for a...well, for anyone, really. House had been right with all the jokes.

"Watch the head," Foreman whispered, sliding his mouth down and kissing at the corner of Chase's mouth before returning to his mouth and kissing harder, deeper.

Foreman broke the kiss and slid his hands down Chase's back, resting them just above his hips. He'd always found himself looking at Chase's back--Chase had a bad habit of wearing shirts that were too small and pulled across a decidedly-broad set of shoulders. He must have bought them to fit his waist, he mused, for it was narrow.

"Better than expected, Chase."

Foreman slid a hand down lower, pressing their hips closer together as he slid the other one back into his hair.

"Bet you got that from all your teachers too, 'Exceeds Expectations."

Foreman groaned.

"Are you trying to get me off over here or are you just going to tease?"

That probably wasn't the best word choice. He decided to amend it.

"Kidding, man. Just...fuck. This is hot."
