House wasn't going to forget, if only because Chase had made a point to tell him and to request his company. And even if House's current state of mind wasn't at the best - between Jack and Chase sucking face with other people at the bonfire and then not only finding out that Wilson was back but finding him in his bed - he was going to try his best not to fuck up Chase's birthday.

He poked his head in the door without knocking, figuring the worst that could happen would be a naked Cuddy, which she'd probably forgive him for, and was relieved to see the room empty except for Chase's familiar form curled up on the bed.

He didn't bother to try to be quiet, as you can't really sneak with a cane, but he was pretty fast, sitting down on the bed with Chase and leaning over to kiss the back of his neck before saying anything.
